Project includes upgrading of main distribution system c/w new feeds to both existing and new distribution infrastructure, New transformer pad to replace the existing high voltage transformer vault, fire alarm & life safety upgrades, mechanical equipment upgrades, various branch power and lighting changes, and new exterior facade for the building complete with RGB DMX controlled exterior lighting. One challenge has been analyzing suitable exterior fixtures that will work well in conjunction with the new curtain wall systems being applied to the buildings facade. Function and budget have both been factors. Another challenge faced has been coordinating with Epcor, the Owner's group, and the Consultants to find the best possible solution for re-feeding the main power to the office tower to replace the current aging infrastructure that no longer meets Epcor standards. In conjunction with this we have developed a changeover plan to minimize required shutdown's to non business operating hours. The building also has a bar in the ground level and the changeover plan is cognizant of their operating hours as well.
Unique Challenge: The WSP Tower Renovation included an upgrade of the main distribution (including new feeds to both the existing and new distribution infrastructure), a new transformer pad to replace the existing high voltage transformer vault, fire alarm and life safety upgrades, branch power and lighting changes and mechanical equipment upgrades. The building remained occupied and functional throughout the entirety of the project. After deciding on adding a sea-can to the roof to house the distribution equipment, we realized the riser cables from the main floor distribution to the roof-top sea-can would have taken too much space and would not pass code. Innovative Solution: After review of the site, it was decided the best route was to cut some drywall on the main floor and route the cable up the mechanical shaft. This made install easier in the shaft and resulted in both space and schedule savings.

Precision Drilling
Office building renovation and addition.
This building was a renovation and addition of a 41,000 sf, 2 storey office building with attached pre-engineering metal shop. Our scope of work included power, communications, emergency & exit lighting, lighting systems and fire alarm system.
Unique Challenge: The site remained an active worksite throughout construction as Precision staff continued carrying out work in and around the construction site.
Innovative Solution: To mitigate this risk, extensive coordination and pre-planning was required to perform a phased relocation of equipment. The site was split into four quadrants, and the client moved their equipment at specified times to different quadrants while work was being performed.

Jen-Col Office
2 floor open concept 2,570 square meter office building in Acheson with an 1,873 m2 18 bay warehouse space on the same site.
Project was delivered as a design assist; initial tender budget was over the threshold and needed to be value engineered back to within an acceptable range. Facility is LED light with local motion control for all offices, a unique feature of this project is a win light system, where a few pushbuttons located through out the office space can signal through a strobe and horn setup a project win, much like a hockey goal light.
Budget validation came in too high on the tender set of drawings and was value engineered to an acceptable benchmark. Value engineering continued throughout the project. Sourcing the goal light system proved to have its challenges but was successfully implemented.
