AWE's 2017 Celebration of Achievement Award

This is a proud and exciting time for AltaPro.  
Bert and Jeanette started AltaPro out of the garage of their home
30 years ago. On May 18th Jeanette was honored at the annual
Alberta Women Entrepreneurs annual celebration of achievement reception, winning the
2017 Celebration of Achievement Award.

Solar in Alberta

One of AltaPro's own had the pleasure of installing a solar panel with Alberta Energy Minister Shannon Phillips at the Gridworks Solar Energy Training Centre. This was all in time for the announcement "The Alberta government is creating a $36-million rebate program for solar installation on residential and commercial buildings" click here to read more.

On Saturday, February 25th, AltaPro attended the second annual solar trade show at NAIT. 

AltaPro Annual BBQ

Friday May 13th the AltaPro employees gathered at our shop for the annual BBQ.

Hope Mission


On March 21st AltaPro Employees volunteered their time to help serve dinner at Hope Mission.   

Led and supported by our employee run Social Committee, giving back to our community is something we are all passionate about.

United Way Red Tie Gala

AltaPro Electric was honored to support the United Way Campaign at the Red Tie Gala on February 25th. Being mindful there are many who struggle each day, we feel compelled to support paths out of poverty.

The evening included performances by the top three contestants of My United Voice, a contest to find the next voice against poverty. This contest was put together by United Way, Hot 107FM and PlanIt Sound. A huge congratulations goes out to the winner, Genny P.


Bubble Soccer and Rock-Paper-Scissors

AltaPro Connections (AltaPro's social committee) put together an afternoon of team building on Saturday, November 7th. Employees were able to don themselves with a bubble and bump each other around in a tournament of bubble soccer. In between each round of bubble soccer, they partook in a friendly rock-paper-scissors tournament with the grand prize of an iPad air! The night finished up with a barbecue with employees and their families.
All proceeds from the rock-paper-scissors tournament were donated to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.

AltaPro Annual BBQ

On Friday, May 1st, AltaPro employees gathered together for the annual AltaPro BBQ.

A number of employees were recognized for 5 years of service:
Tim Kublik, Joel Mahe and Adam Nieuwenhout
as well as a few for 15 years of service
Shawn Warren, Ryan Hoskins, Henry Nieuwenhout and Jeff Hoskins

Construction Employee of the Year

On June 10th, Merit Contractors Association and Merit members celebrated the achievements of several hard-working construction employees, apprentices and companies. Among these winners was our very own Jason Jeglum.

Jason was awarded the Merit-and Royal & SunAlliance Construction Employee of the Year for all of Alberta. This award recongnizes outstanding construction field employees.

Congratulations Jason and thank you for all your hard work and dedication to the AltaPro team!

2014 Contractor of the Year

AltaPro is honored to be recognized as winner of the “2014 Contractor of the Year” under 15 M award. We wish to thank our People who through their expertise have earned this recognition. People are our greatest asset and success is only possible with you.

We also wish to thank our valued clients and contractors who have given us the opportunity to provide electrical services. Thank you for your trust and confidence in our dynamic team.

The awards gala was held April 17th at the Westin Calgary.

Speeders 2014

A number of AltaPro employees gathered at Speeders to enjoy an afternoon filled with fun, friendly competition and great food.
